Yesterday Funko announced the release of the new Funko Pop! Game Cover – Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Following the success of the popular Pop! Albums series and the recently launched Pop! Comic Covers series, Funko has now applied the concept to popular video game covers.
The Funko Pop! Game Covers series is a combination of a hard protector case, a Funko Pop! vinyl figure and of course artwork of the video game cover. And the end product is just amazing!
There was some confusion among collectors during Funkoween 2021, where Pop! Game Cover – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced but labeled as number #02 in the Pop! Game Covers series.
#01 in the Funko Pop! Game Covers series is therefore dedicated to one of the greatest video games of all time: Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 1992 platform game developed and published by Sega.
