Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! Comics figures of the popular comic strip character Garfield the cat.

Garfield is a fictional cat and the protagonist of the comic strip of the same name, created by American cartoonist Jim Davis.
Garfield is depicted as a lazy, fat and cynical orange tabby Persian cat and he is known for his love of lasagna, sleeping, and his hatred of Monday, Nermal and exercise.
Garfield the comic strip, originally published locally as Jon in 1976, and in national syndication from 1978 as Garfield, chronicles the lives of the title character Garfield the cat, his human owner Jon Arbuckle and Odie the dog.
By 2002, Garfield became the world’s most syndicated comic strip, appearing in 2,570 newspapers with 263 million readers worldwide. In addition to various merchandise and commercial tie-ins, the comic has spawned several animated television specials, two animated television series, two theatrical live-action/animated films and three animated direct-to-video films.
The Garfield Movie, an upcoming American animated comedy adventure film, will be released theatrically in the United States on May 24, 2024.
Garfield the cat is transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and is part of the Funko Pop! Comics series. The newly announced wave includes three new Garfield Funko Pop! vinyl figures with a July 2024 release date.
