Funko has announced an exclusive Marvel Superior Spider-Man Funko Pop! vinyl figure inspired by The Superior Spider-Man comic book series published by Marvel Comics.

The Superior Spider-Man is the name of three separate superhero comic book series published by Marvel Comics, following Otto Octavius as he becomes Spider-Man.
The first volume, which ran between January 2013 and September 2014 and consists of 33 issues, continues the events of the 2012 storyline “Dying Wish”, in which Peter Parker is murdered and replaced by his nemesis Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus).
Octavius switched consciousness with Parker and left him to die in his decaying body to ensure his own survival. However, Octavius is inspired by Parker’s dying wish to have a new Spider-Man protect New York City, and decides to take up the mantle himself and become the self-proclaimed “Superior Spider-Man”.
The first volume of the series was adapted into the second season of Marvel’s animated Spider-Man television series and Otto Octavius appeared as Superior Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) as a member of 2099’s Spider-Man Spider Society.
Superior Spider-Man has been transformed into a Funko Pop! vinyl figure as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel series. The newly announced Marvel Superior Spider-Man Funko Pop! vinyl figure is an Amazon Exclusive with September 2024 release date.
