Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the popular children’s television series Sesame Street.

Sesame Street is a long-running educational children’s television show that premiered in 1969.
Created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett, it is known for its unique blend of live-action, puppetry and animation.
The show was developed with the goal of helping young children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to prepare for school. It combines entertainment with education, focusing on learning topics for young children such as literacy, numeracy, social skills and emotional development.
The show features a diverse cast of characters, both human and Muppet, with iconic figures like Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch. Created by puppeteer Jim Henson, these characters create humorous and educational sketches that make learning fun and accessible.
Sesame Street is also known for its commitment to inclusivity and has addressed various social, cultural and health-related issues over the years. The show has been praised for its ability to evolve with the times while remaining relevant to new generations of children.
The show has won numerous awards, including 222 Emmy Awards and 11 Grammy Awards, and has been broadcast in more than 150 countries, with many local adaptations produced around the world. New episodes have been airing since its debut in 1969, making it one of the longest-running children’s television programs in history.
In 2015, Funko released the first Sesame Street Funko Pop! vinyl figures as part of its own Funko Pop! Sesame Street series.
The newly announced wave of Sesame Street Funko Pop! vinyl figures is part of the Funko Pop! Television series and includes four new Funko Pop! vinyl figures including Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Elmo & Tango and Big Bird (Deluxe).
