Funko has announced two new Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the prison drama film The Shawshank Redemption.

The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American prison drama film written and directed by Frank Darabont, based on Stephen King’s 1982 novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.
The film follows the story of Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins), a banker who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the murder of his wife and her lover, despite his claims of innocence.
Over the course of the film, Andy forms a deep friendship with fellow inmate Ellis “Red” Redding (played by Morgan Freeman), who narrates much of the story.
Through his time at Shawshank, Andy quietly becomes an essential part of the prison’s workings, using his financial expertise to help the corrupt warden with money laundering. However, Andy never gives up hope of freedom, and after nearly two decades, he makes a daring escape by meticulously tunneling through his cell wall.
The movie explores themes of hope, friendship, redemption and perseverance in the face of oppression. It has become highly acclaimed for its emotional depth, performances and its message about the enduring power of hope. Though it did not win any major awards at the time of release, The Shawshank Redemption has since grown into one of the most beloved films in cinematic history.
