Yu-Gi-Oh! is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi.
The series centers around a young boy named Yugi Mutou, who solves an ancient Egyptian puzzle called the Millennium Puzzle. Upon solving it, Yugi awakens an alter ego, a mysterious and powerful spirit known as the Pharaoh.
