Stranger Things is an American science fiction-horror television series created by the Duffer Brothers, first released on Netflix in 2016.
Stranger Things is set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. It follows a group of kids who become entangled in a series of supernatural events after one of their friends, Will Byers, mysteriously vanishes.
As the kids search for Will, they encounter a strange girl with supernatural abilities who goes by the name Eleven. She reveals the existence of a parallel dimension called the Upside Down, filled with terrifying creatures.
The series blends elements of horror, sci-fi and nostalgia, drawing heavily on 1980s pop culture, and features a strong ensemble cast, including Winona Ryder as Will’s mother, David Harbour as the town’s police chief Hopper and Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.
The first season of Stranger Things was released on Netflix on July 15, 2016. The second and third seasons followed in October 2017 and July 2019 respectively.
The fourth season of the series was released today on Netflix. Stranger Things 4 will be released worldwide exclusively via Netflix’s streaming service in two volumes. The first will be released today and the second on July 1, 2022. Stranger Things 4 will feature nine episodes.
