Funko has announced a new exclusive Funko Pop! vinyl figure of American professional boxer and activist Muhammad Ali.

Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.; January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016) was an American professional boxer and one of the greatest sporting icons of the 20th century.
Nicknamed “the Greatest”, he became famous for his fast boxing style and flamboyant personality and is often considered the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time.
In 1964 he converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. He refused to fight in the Vietnam War because of his religious beliefs and was convicted, costing him his title. After a few years, his conviction was overturned and he made a successful comeback in the boxing world.
Muhammad Ali’s professional boxing career is impressive with a record of 56 wins, 5 defeats, and 37 knockouts. Ali became a three-time world heavyweight champion (1964, 1974 and 1978), a feat that was unprecedented in the boxing world at the time.
Ali was famous for his rivalries with boxers such as Joe Frazier and George Foreman. His 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” fight against Foreman, in which he regained the title, is considered one of the greatest sporting moments of all time. After his retirement, he committed himself to philanthropy and became a symbol for civil rights.
Ali suffered from Parkinson’s disease from the 1980s and passed away in 2016. Muhammad Ali’s legacy goes far beyond his achievements in the boxing ring. He is remembered as one of the most influential sports figures in history and as a powerful voice for social justice and human rights.
