Set in 1964 during the Cold War, players control Naked Snake on a mission to rescue a Soviet scientist and dismantle a nuclear threat, all while confronting his former mentor, The Boss. The remake retains the original’s intricate narrative and core gameplay mechanics, emphasizing stealth and survival in diverse environments.
Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the game features significant visual enhancements, including realistic lighting, detailed character models, and immersive environmental effects.
Players can choose between two gameplay styles: “New Style,” offering contemporary controls and an over-the-shoulder camera perspective, and “Legacy Style,” preserving the classic controls and fixed overhead view.
