Funko Pop! New Releases

Gundams Go Pop! – Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Joins the Funko Lineup

Funko is suiting up for battle with a brand-new wave of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Funko Pop! Vinyl figures — and longtime anime fans are fired up.

What’s New in the World of Animation and Funko Pop!

The first three mechs from the classic 90s series are finally here in Pop! form: the iconic Wing Gundam Zero, the sleek and sinister Gundam Epyon, and the fan-favorite Gundam Deathscythe.

These aren’t your average bots. With sharp sculpts, dynamic poses, and slick metallic paint details, this trio of Mobile Suits is ready to lead your collection into all-out war — shelf-style. Whether you grew up watching Toonami or discovered the Gundam multiverse more recently, these Pops are a must-have.

About the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Series

Released in 1995, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is a standout entry in the long-running Gundam franchise — and arguably the series that introduced many Western fans to the world of mecha anime.

Set in the “After Colony” timeline, Gundam Wing follows five young pilots sent to Earth in advanced mobile suits to fight against an oppressive military organization known as OZ.

With a darker tone, complex political themes, and unforgettable mecha designs, Gundam Wing left a lasting impact on anime culture. It combined the visual firepower of giant robots with emotional depth and strategic warfare.

The series became a massive hit during the early 2000s anime boom, thanks in part to its English-language debut on Cartoon Network’s Toonami block.

Now, nearly three decades later, the series gets the Funko Pop! treatment it deserves.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Characters as Funko Pop! Figures

Characters from the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing series have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Animation series.

🦅 Wing Gundam Zero (XXXG-00W0)

Heero Yuy’s primary mobile suit in the later half of the series, Wing Gundam Zero is a fan-favorite mech known for its twin buster rifle and angelic white wings. This Pop! captures the machine’s streamlined armor and wingspan perfectly, giving collectors a powerful centerpiece. Expect strong demand — Wing Zero is the Gundam most people remember.

🔥 Gundam Epyon (OZ-13MS)

On the opposite end of the battlefield is Gundam Epyon, piloted by Zechs Merquise. Dark, menacing, and built for close combat, Epyon trades guns for an energy whip and a beam sword. The Pop! figure nails the bold red armor and horned helmet, giving this villainous suit the intimidating edge it needs.

☠️ Gundam Deathscythe (XXXG-01D)

Rounding out the first wave is Gundam Deathscythe, piloted by the fan-favorite Duo Maxwell. With its stealthy design and massive beam scythe, Deathscythe brings a grim reaper vibe to the battlefield — and to your shelf. This Pop! has serious attitude, with exaggerated blades and deep black-and-purple detailing that make it stand out in any anime collection.

Pre-order the New Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Funko Pops

Anime Funko Pops have become a major pillar in the Funko lineup, and Gundam Wing finally joining the roster is long overdue. Until now, the only Gundam Pops on the market were from Mobile Suit Gundam (the original 1979 series).

The arrival of Wing opens the door to a full range of Gundam timelines — and characters — getting the Funko treatment.

More importantly, it speaks directly to collectors who grew up during the late-90s/early-2000s anime wave. With nostalgia-fueled demand and crossover appeal between anime fans, mech lovers, and figure collectors, this is a smart move from Funko — and a sign of more to come.
