What’s New: Funko Anime Expo 2025
For the first time ever, Funko is setting up shop at Anime Expo. The largest anime convention in North America will host Funko at the 2025 edition, taking place from July 3–6, 2025, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Fans can expect a dedicated Funko booth, exclusive anime-themed Pop! figures, and a chance to meet members of Funko’s design team in person.
Anime Expo, commonly known as AX, has long been a hub for anime, manga, cosplay, and J-culture enthusiasts. Now, with Funko’s official entry into the event, collectors and anime fans can finally experience a crossover of vinyl and otaku culture on the convention floor.
About Anime Expo 2025 and the Funko Booth
Anime Expo is known for attracting over 100,000 attendees annually, offering a packed weekend of panels, premieres, vendor booths, and fan experiences.
2025 marks Funko’s debut at the event, a notable milestone for the company and its anime-focused fanbase.
Funko’s booth will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will receive a wristband with a designated time slot to return and shop. Wristbands are limited and only available while supplies last.
Running or line-cutting is prohibited, and fans are expected to follow all booth etiquette guidelines.
Attendees can expect a wide range of anime-themed exclusives. Select releases will come with UV Premium Pop! Protectors to keep them in pristine condition. These extras are perfect for collectors who value the long-term display and protection of their most prized figures.
Not in LA? Funko will also sell the Anime Expo exclusives online. All Funko account holders can access the drop via Funko.com, though a queue system and product limits will apply.

Funko Artist Meet and Greet
On Friday and Saturday, fans attending in person will have the opportunity to meet Chris Metzner, Senior Designer on Funko’s concept art team.
Chris has worked on many anime Pop! releases and is the artist behind the official Anime Expo booth artwork. The meet and greet will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM both days at the Funko booth.
Chris’s presence offers a unique chance to gain insights into the design process behind some of your favorite Pop! anime figures. Come chat, ask questions, and snap a photo with the mind behind the vinyl.

Anime Expo 2025 Exclusive Pop! Figures
Funko has now revealed the complete lineup of Pop! vinyl figures exclusive to Anime Expo 2025.
Each figure will carry the 2025 Summer Convention sticker and will be available at the Funko booth and online via Funko.com.
European collectors can find these exclusives on FunkoEurope.com. Select items are limited to 3,000 pieces and include premium packaging features like UV protectors.
