Each retailer has their own sticker applied to the box to indicate that the Funko Pop! vinyl figure is exclusive to their store.

Funko Pop! Retailer Exclusives, assigned to US retailers, are offered in Europe by FunkoEurope.com with a separate Special Edition sticker. The figure is the same, only the sticker differs from the US market.

What are Convention Exclusives?

Convention Exclusives are special Funko Pop! vinyl figures, released exclusively for a convention or event, and offered to the public during the event by both Funko and shared retailers such as Amazon, Target and Hot Topic.

Funko is a regular exhibitor at several major comic book conventions, also known as comic cons, including San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), New York Comic Con (NYCC), Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC), LA Comic Con (LACC), and WonderCon (Anaheim Comic-Con).

Funko Pop! Convention Exclusives can be “Booth Only” figures, sold on-site at the Funko booth at the convention or event, or they can be “Shared Exclusives”, sold online by Funko as well as the shared retailers.

All Funko Pop! Convention Exclusives are recognizable by the unique convention sticker on the box, where the sticker of Booth Only figures differs from the Shared Exclusives because this sticker contains a convention logo.

Funko Pop! Convention Exclusives are popular among Funko Pop! collectors due to their exclusivity and often higher collector value.

What is the difference between Retailer Exclusives and Special Edition figures?

For a number of years, Funko Pop! collectors around the world could only turn to Funko Pop! retailers in the United States to purchase their favorite Funko Pop! vinyl figures.

But as with any successful concept, companies are quickly looking across the border for international opportunities. Funko did the same and found new distributors in Europe, Asia and Australia, after which the Funko Pop! vinyl product line could be offered worldwide.

Gone are the days when Funko Pop! vinyl figures were only available in the United States, and today Funko Pop! vinyl figures are sold on every continent of the world.

And as with major US retailers, Funko also partners with major international retailers, who are assigned their own exclusive Funko Pop! vinyl figures.

But to distinguish between the US market and the international market, Funko uses different stickers that are applied to the boxes.

For example, a Hot Topic Exclusive Funko Pop! vinyl figure sold in the US with a Hot Topic sticker will be offered by FunkoEurope.com in Europe with a Special Edition sticker.

Special Edition figures from some major international retailers, such as Popcultcha in Australia and Amazon and EMP in Europe, have a second retailer sticker in addition to the Special Edition sticker.

All Funko Pop! vinyl Exclusives are released in limited numbers. The figures are often popular among Funko Pop! collectors because of their higher collector value.
