Football is the most popular sport in Europe, probably in the world, and the players of the football pitch have now been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures. The players are now part of the Funko Pop! Football series.

The Funko Pop! Football series may confuse collectors in the United States, as the series is not about American Football but all about soccer. The Football series is part of the Pop! Sports vinyl series, and this time attention for a real European sport.
In early 2017, Funko expanded its business to the United Kingdom in Europe and opened a brand new office in Hammersmith, London. This new state-of-the-art office is 5,207-square-foot in size, and is an open-plan, collaborative working space for the Funko team. It’s centerpiece is a showroom exhibiting many of Funko’s new and upcoming products.
One of the first new products, or product series, invented from London, was the new Pop! Football vinyl line. With licensing agreements reached between Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC, the first series of Pop! vinyl figures was released in early 2018.
The first series features a total of ten different players, including David De Gea (Manchester United), Eden Hazard (Chelsea FC), Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané (Liverpool FC).
The second series of the Pop! Football vinyl line was unveiled at the London Toy Fair in 2019. The second line-up takes a trip to the French Ligue 1, where players from Paris Saint Germain were added to the Pop! Football series, including Edinson Cavani, Neymar Jr. and star player Kylian Mbappe.
Other football clubs where licensing agreements have been reached include Arsenal FC and Manchester City FC.
During Toy Fair 2020, Funko unveiled seven new Pop! Football vinyl figures to be released this year. Three new players from Chelsea FC, including N’Golo Kante and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Bernardo Silva from Manchester City FC and a new Pop! vinyl figure from Liverpool FC star Sadio Mané.
