Funko has released a new Pop! Wolverine Comic Cover figure based on Marvel Comics Wolverine Volume 2 issue #1 (1988).

Marvel’s Wolverine #1 transformed into Funko Pop!

After the success of the popular Pop! Albums series, Funko has now applied the concept to iconic comic book covers.

The Funko Pop! vinyl Comic Covers series is a combination of a Funko Pop! vinyl figure, based on the comic book cover, pre-packaged in a hard premium protector case, which is decorated with artwork from the comic book cover. The finished product just looks amazing and is a must-have for any Pop! and comic book collector.

The protective case measures approximately: 7.00″W x 10.75″H x 3.25″D and can be easily hung on the wall.

The Pop! Comic Covers series is divided into two separate lines within the series, with their own numbering, covering both DC Comics and Marvel Comics releases. The number of releases in the new Funko Pop! series is still limited, but given the number of comic books released by both franchises, the series is likely to grow in the coming years.

The latest announced Marvel release in the Funko Pop! Comic Covers series is a Wolverine Funko Pop! vinyl figure, based on the cover of Wolverine Volume 2 #1 (1988) (ongoing series).

Volume 2, the ongoing series began publication in 1988 and lasted until 2003 when it was relaunched after issue #189. The original creative team included writer Chris Claremont and pencil and cover artist John Buscema.
