The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is an upcoming American television special created, written, and directed by James Gunn for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy.
The special is produced by Marvel Studios and is intended to be the second Marvel Studios Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is scheduled to be released in December 2022 on Disney+, as the conclusion of Phase Four of the MCU.
Characters from The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Pop! Marvel series. Four new common Pop! vinyl figures will be released along with a Guardians of the Galaxy 5-pack as an Amazon exclusive.
