Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the popular and iconic fast food chain McDonald’s.

McDonald’s characters transformed into Pop! vinyl figures.

McDonald’s Corporation is an American multinational fast food chain, founded in 1940 as a restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California, United States.

They rechristened their business as a hamburger stand and later turned the business into a franchise, introducing the Golden Arches logo in 1953 at a Phoenix, Arizona location.

In 1955, Ray Kroc (1902-1984), a businessman, joined the company as a franchise agent and bought the food chain from the McDonald brothers. McDonald’s was previously headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, but moved its global headquarters to Chicago in June 2018.

McDonald’s is the world’s largest fast food chain by revenue, serving more than 69 million customers daily in more than 100 countries in more than 40,000 points of sale as of 2021.

Over the years, McDonald’s has introduced various characters for marketing and advertising purposes, including the clown Ronald McDonald, who also served as the primary mascot for the fast food chain.

McDonald’s characters have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Pop! Ad Icons series. The newly announced wave includes five new Mc Donald’s Funko Pop! vinyl figures with a September 2023 release date.
