Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the Japanese anime television series Dragon Ball GT.

Dragon Ball GT is a Japanese anime television series based on Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball manga that ran from February 1996 to November 1997.
Produced by Toei Animation, the series premiered in Japan on Fuji TV and ran for 64 episodes (1996 -1997). Unlike Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, the previous two television adaptations in the Dragon Ball media franchise, Dragon Ball GT does not adapt Toriyama’s manga.
Dragon Ball GT is an anime-exclusive sequel to Dragon Ball Z with an original storyline featuring the same characters and universe, following the exploits of Son Goku, the series’ main character who turns into a child; his granddaughter, Pan; and their associates on a quest to collect the Black Star Dragon Balls, a more powerful set of Dragon Balls hidden throughout the galaxy.
Despite the series being a non-manga adaptation, series creator Toriyama designed new characters for Dragon Ball GT. Until the release of Dragon Ball Super in 2015, Dragon Ball GT was the last televised animated series in the Dragon Ball franchise.
Characters from the Dragon Ball media franchise have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Animation series.
Basically, Funko uses four different lines for the Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the Dragon Ball franchise, divided into a Funko Pop! Dragon Ball collection, a Pop! Dragon Ball Z collection, a Pop! Dragon Ball Super collection and the now newly announced Funko Pop! Dragon Ball GT collection.
The newly announced wave includes eleven new Dragon Ball GT Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including four exclusive variants.
