House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO.
A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011 – 2019), it is the second television series in the A Song of Ice and Fire franchise.
Set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the beginning of the end of the once mighty House Targaryen dynasty; the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen civil war, known as the “Dance of the Dragons”.
The series premiered on August 21, 2022, with the first season consisting of ten episodes. The second season premiered on June 16, 2024, with eight episodes. In June 2024, ahead of the second-season premiere, the series was renewed for a third season.
Characters from the House of the Dragon television series have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures are part of the Funko Pop! House of the Dragon series. A newly launched Funko Pop! vinyl series with its own numbering and separate from the Funko Pop! Game of Thrones series.
The newly announced wave includes three new House of the Dragon Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including a Ser Criston Cole Funko Pop! vinyl figure as a Target Exclusive.
