Buffy the Vampire Slayer Funko Pop! Television figures.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American supernatural drama television series created by writer and director Joss Whedon.
The concept is based on the 1992 film, also written by Whedon, although they are separate and unrelated productions. Whedon served as executive producer and showrunner of the series under his production tag Mutant Enemy Productions.
The series follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as “Vampire Slayers”. Slayers are chosen by fate to battle vampires, demons and other dark forces. Buffy wants to live a normal life, but learns to embrace her fate as the series progresses.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered on March 10, 1997 on The WB, aired for 7 seasons with 144 episodes and ended on May 20, 2003 on UPN. The success of Buffy has led to hundreds of tie-in products, including novels, comics and video games.
The series, as well as its spin-off series Angel, and expansions thereof, are collectively referred to as the “Buffyverse”.
Characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Television series. The newly announced wave includes five new Buffy the Vampire Slayer Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including a Spike (Punk) figure as a Barnes & Noble Exclusive.
