Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the animated television series Jem and The Holograms.

Jem and The Holograms, also known as simply Jem, is an American animated television series that originally aired from 1985 to 1988.
Produced by Hasbro, Sunbow Productions, and Marvel Productions, the show was created to promote a line of dolls, but it became much more than a marketing tool. The series combined elements of music, drama, and adventure, gaining a loyal following and becoming a pop-culture icon of the 1980s.
The story follows Jerrica Benton, the owner of Starlight Music, who transforms into her rock-star alter ego, Jem, using a sophisticated holographic computer named Synergy.
With the help of her band, The Holograms – consisting of Kimber Benton (Jerrica’s sister), Aja Leith, and Shana Elmsford – Jem navigates the challenges of fame, friendship, and rivalries while also caring for the Starlight Girls, a group of orphans under her care.
Jem and her band frequently clash with their nemesis, The Misfits, a rival group led by the scheming Pizzazz.
The show is noted for its blend of music videos, strong female characters, and themes of teamwork and empowerment. Each episode featured original songs performed by both bands, with the music becoming a defining element of the series.
Though it only ran for three seasons, Jem and the Holograms remains beloved by fans and is celebrated for its colorful animation, catchy music, and progressive portrayal of diverse characters. It also inspired a comic book series, merchandise, and a live-action film adaptation in 2015.
