Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the comic book miniseries Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a five-issue comic book miniseries published by IDW Publishing from October 2020 to April 2022.
It is a dark, dystopian tale set in a future where most of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their allies have perished. The story, developed by TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, alongside writer Tom Waltz, explores themes of revenge, loss, and legacy.
The series centers on the lone surviving turtle – Michelangelo – who embarks on a quest for vengeance against the man responsible for his family’s destruction, Oroku Hiroto, the grandson of Shredder.
Set in a bleak, cyberpunk-inspired New York City controlled by Hiroto’s oppressive Foot Clan, Michelangelo becomes “The Last Ronin,” adopting the weapons and fighting styles of his fallen brothers: Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael.
Haunted by their ghosts and driven by their memories, Michelangelo struggles with survivor’s guilt while pushing forward in his mission. Along the way, he finds new allies, including April O’Neil, who has suffered her own losses, and her daughter Casey Marie Jones, who takes up her parents’ mantle in the fight against tyranny.
Unlike traditional TMNT stories, The Last Ronin is darker and more mature, reflecting the grim consequences of vengeance and the cost of war. It is a tribute to the series’ origins, capturing the gritty tone of the original 1984 comics while incorporating modern storytelling and emotional depth.
The Last Ronin was followed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin – Lost Years in 2023 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II – Re-Evolution in 2024. A video game and a film adaptation are both in development.
Characters from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Comics series.
The newly announced wave includes six new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, The Last Ronin (Deluxe), The Last Ronin (Black & White) (Barnes & Noble Exclusive), Oroku Hiroto (Books-A-Million Exclusive) and Leonardo with Swords (Meijer Exclusive).
Funko also announced an Amazon Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin Funko Pop! 4-Pack, including figures of Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and Donatello in their Last Ronin and spirit forms.
