The first Pop! vinyl figure from the Funko Pop! Icons series is a figure of George R. R. Martin, an American novelist and short story writer, screenwriter and television producer. Martin writes the series of epic fantasy novels “A Song of Ice and Fire”, which was adapted into the HBO series Game of Thrones.
Although the second figure from the Pop! Icons series is unknown and was never released by Funko, the series continues with Pop! vinyl figures of Dr. Seuss and Colonel Sanders. KFC’s Colonel Sanders is good for three different vinyl figures, including a gold variant, exclusive to Funko Shop.
The Pop! Icons series also features many iconic figures from American history, including presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
Since there is no real theme for the Pop! Icons series, the released Pop! vinyl figures are very different from each other. A mix of different icons and legends, from Marilyn Monroe, Albert Einstein and Jim Henson to Rat Fink, Paulie Pigeon and Grumpy Cat.
