During Funko Fair 2022, Funko has unveiled the first Pop! releases of the new Funko Pop! Magazine Covers series.
SLAM NBA magazine covers transformed into Pop! vinyl.
Following the success of the popular Funko Pop! Albums series, the Pop! Comic Covers series and the recently launched Pop! Trading Cards series, Funko has now applied the successful concept to magazine covers.
The first collection in the Funko Pop! Magazine Covers series is dedicated to NBA Basketball, transforming the popular basketball magazine SLAM into Funko Pop! vinyl.
SLAM magazine was launched in 1994 as a basketball magazine that combined the sport with Hip Hop culture at a time when the genre was becoming increasingly popular.
The Pop! Magazine Covers series is a combination of a hard premium protector case, a Funko Pop! vinyl figure and of course artwork of the magazine cover. The end product is simply amazing and a must-have for every basketball fan.
The back of the case is decorated with artwork of the magazine cover and the front of the case features a Funko Pop! vinyl figure representing the likeness of the magazine cover. The dimensions of the case are approximately 10”W x 12”H x 3.25”D (W 25.4 cm x H 30.5 cm x D 8.3 cm). The Funko Pop! Magazine Covers can easily be hung on the wall.
The first releases of the new Funko Pop! Magazine Covers series are scheduled for April this year and will include three different SLAM magazine covers from the past, featuring former NBA players Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal and Vince Carter.
