Luck is a 2022 computer-animated fantasy comedy film directed by Peggy Holmes, co-directed by Javier Abad, and written by Kiel Murray who co-wrote the story with Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, based on an original concept by Rebeca Carrasco, Juan De Dios and Julián Romero.
Produced by Skydance Animation and released by Apple Studios, the film features the voices of Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O’Donoghue and John Ratzenberger.
Luck tells the story of Sam Greenfield, an 18-year-old clumsy, orphaned young woman whose life is constantly plagued by misfortune and who was recently forced out of her foster home. Luck for Sam is lurking though, in the form of a black cat named Bob and a shiny lucky penny.
Luck premiered in Madrid on August 2, 2022, and was released from Apple Studios on Apple TV+ and in select theaters in the United States on August 5, 2022.
Characters from Luck have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Pop! Movies series. The newly announced wave features six new Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including a chase variant of a Sam dressed as a Leprechaun.
