Funko has announed new Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT Soccer figures as part of the Pop! Sports Legends series.
USWNT players transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures.
The United States women’s national soccer team (USWNT) represents the United States in international women’s soccer.
The team is the most successful in international women’s soccer, winning four Women’s World Cup titles (1991, 1999, 2015, and 2019), four Olympic gold medals (1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012) and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups.
After winning the World Cup in 2019, Funko transformed some of the USWNT’s star players into Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including Megan Rapinoe, winner of both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot as the tournament’s best player.
Funko has once again transformed USWNT star players, both current and retired players, into Funko Pop! vinyl figures. Retired soccer players and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champions Brandi Chastain and Mia Hamm have been transformed into Pop! vinyl figures and have been added to the Funko Pop! USWNT team.
The Funko Pop! USWNT team continues to expand with new announced Funko Pop! vinyl figures from Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe. Unfortunately, Funko’s creative team was not in top shape and the Pop! figures look suspiciously similar to those previously released.
The Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT players are not assigned to the existing Pop! Football series. Also, no new Funko Pop! series has been created or launched for the USWNT set, but the Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT Soccer players have oddly been assigned to the Pop! Sports Legends series.
