Do you remember the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup? The United States women’s national soccer team (USWNT) wins the Women’s World Cup final, earning their second consecutive and fourth overall FIFA Women’s World Cup title.
USWNT Soccer players transformed into Pop! vinyl figures
Funko honors the World Cup Champions and has transformed some of the star players of the champions squad into Funko Pop! vinyl figures.
The Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT Soccer figures were first announced at Toy Fair New York earlier this year. So far, five Pop! vinyl figures have been released from the new Funko Pop! Sports set.
The USWNT line-up begins with star player Megan Rapinoe, winner of both the Golden Ball and Golden Boot as the best player of the tournament and as the top scorer of the tournament. Second in line is striker Alex Morgan, winner of the Silver Boot.
Co-captain Carli Lloyd and midfielder Julie Ertz, including the recognizable teal headband, complete the Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT squad.
An extra Pop! vinyl figure from Megan Rapinoe has been released, dressed in a red away jersey, which is exclusive to Barnes & Noble. In addition to a different color jersey, the Barnes & Noble exclusive has blond hair instead of pink hair.
The Funko Pop! vinyl USWNT set is not assigned to the existing Pop! Football series. Also, no new Pop! series has been created or launched for the USWNT set, but it has been strangely assigned to the Pop! Sports Legends series.
