Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! WWE figures and a new Stone Cold Steve Austin Funko Pop! Rides figure to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the WWE Championship.

Funko celebrates 60 years of the WWE Championship.

The history of WWE dates back to the early 1950s when it was founded in 1953 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC), as a Northeastern territory of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).

It went through several name changes over the years, from CWC to World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) in 1963 to World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1979 and to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2002.

WWE is the largest professional wrestling promotion in the world. It has promoted some of the most successful wrestlers and storylines, and featured some of the most iconic and important matches and moments in sports entertainment history.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the legendary WWE Championship. The WWE Championship is a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship and it is one of three world titles in WWE, alongside its companion Universal Championship on SmackDown, and the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw.

The WWE Championship was the first world championship introduced into the promotion in 1963. The inaugural champion was Buddy Rogers, and there have been 54 different official champions overall and 11 vacancies. Roman Reigns is the current champion in his fourth reign.
