Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the science fiction comedy film Galaxy Quest.

Galaxy Quest is a 1999 American science fiction comedy film directed by Dean Parisot and written by David Howard and Robert Gordon. It stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell and Daryl Mitchell.
The film is a parody and tribute to science fiction films and series, especially Star Trek and its fandom. The film features the cast of a fictional cult television series, Galaxy Quest, being drawn into a real interstellar conflict by real aliens who think the series is an accurate documentary.
Galaxy Quest was a modest box office success and was positively received by critics. Galaxy Quest eventually achieved cult status, especially among Star Trek fans.
Characters from Galaxy Quest have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Movies series. The newly announced wave includes five new Funko Pop! Movies figures, including a Funko Pop! Guy figure as a Funko Shop Exclusive and a Funko Pop! General Sarris figure as a Specialty Series Exclusive.
