Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the animated sci-fi comedy television series Futurama.

Futurama is an American animated sci-fi comedy television series created by Matt Groening (the creator of The Simpsons) and developed by David X. Cohen.
It originally aired from 1999 to 2003 on Fox, with later revivals on Comedy Central from 2010 to 2013 and a final reboot on Hulu in 2023.
The series is set in the 31st century and follows Philip J. Fry, a slacker pizza delivery guy who accidentally freezes himself on New Year’s Eve in 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years later in a strange future world.
Fry joins a space delivery company called Planet Express, where he works alongside a quirky cast of characters, including Leela, a one-eyed spaceship captain, Bender, a misanthropic robot, and Professor Farnsworth, a senile and eccentric scientist who is also Fry’s distant relative.
The show combines futuristic sci-fi concepts with satire and absurd humor, exploring themes such as space travel, time travel, artificial intelligence and alien cultures. Although often comedic, Futurama is also known for its occasional emotional depth, especially in episodes about Fry’s relationships and personal history.
The series originally aired for 7 seasons with a total of 140 episodes. It was canceled twice, first after its original run on Fox in 2003, and then again after its revival on Comedy Central, which aired from 2010 to 2013. The show was rebooted a second time in 2023 on Hulu, continuing the series with new episodes.
Characters from Futurama have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Animation series. The first Futurama Funko Pop! figures were released in 2015, and Pop! collectors can now look forward to a newly announced wave.
The newly announced wave includes six new Futurama Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including two exclusive Specialty Series Funko Pop! vinyl figures of Bender with a glow in the dark chase variant.
