Funko has announced a new wave of My Hero Academia (Hero League Baseball) Funko Pop! vinyl figures as part of the Funko Pop! My Hero Academia collection.

My Hero Academia (MHA) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Bones, based on the superhero manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi.
My Hero Academia premiered on Japanese TV in 2016 and has aired a total of six seasons. The seventh season will premiere on May 4, 2024.
The series is set in a fictional world where over 80% of the population possesses a superpower, commonly referred to as a “Quirk”. The advent of these skills has led to not only pro-heroes, but also the threat of villains.
The series focuses on Izuku Midoriya, a young man who dreams of becoming a Hero despite being bullied by his violent childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo for lacking a Quirk.
Midoriya is scouted by All Might, Japan’s greatest hero, who chooses him as his successor after recognizing his potential and helps him enroll in U.A. High School, a prestigious academy where students learn and train to become heroes.
Characters from the My Hero Academia anime series have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Animation series. The newly announced wave of MHA Funko Pop! vinyl figures is inspired by the special My Hero Academia Season 5 OVA titled “HLB (Hero League Baseball)”, released in 2022.
The “Hero League Baseball” is an organization set-up by several Pro Heroes to allow them the chance to play and compete in their spare time. For this year, the “Orcas”, led by Gang Orca, and the “Lionels”, led by Shishido, have made it to the finals.
The new wave includes five new My Hero Academia (Hero League Baseball) Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including Gang Orca (Orcas), Shishido (Lionels), Fatgum (6 inch) (Lionels) and Mt. Lady (6 inch) (Orcas).
Funko has also announced a Fatgum (6 inch) (Metallic) Funko Pop! vinyl figure as a Funko Shop Exclusive.
