Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the comedy-drama film The Breakfast Club.

The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American teen coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, produced, and directed by John Hughes.
The film follows five high school students from different social cliques who are brought together for a Saturday detention session in their school library.
The group includes Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald), a popular and privileged “princess”, Andrew Clark (Emilio Estevez), a disciplined “athlete”, Brian Johnson (Anthony Michael Hall), a shy and studious “brain”, Allison Reynolds (Ally Sheedy), an eccentric and quiet “basket case” and John Bender (Judd Nelson), a rebellious and defiant “criminal”.
Under the supervision of the authoritarian Assistant Principal Richard Vernon (Paul Gleason), the students are tasked with writing an essay about “who they think they are.” Initially, the group struggles with conflict and judgment, as each member embodies their respective high school stereotype.
However, as the day progresses, they begin to open up about their personal struggles and insecurities, realizing that they have more in common than they initially thought.
Through moments of humor, tension, and heartfelt confessions, the group forms an unexpected bond. They confront issues such as parental expectations, peer pressure, and the challenges of growing up, ultimately breaking down the barriers that divide them.
By the end of the day, the students leave the detention session with a deeper understanding of themselves and one another.
The film closes with Brian’s narration of the essay he wrote on behalf of the group, summarizing their shared experience and rejecting the stereotypes that initially defined them. The iconic Simple Minds song “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” plays as the students part ways, symbolizing the lasting impact of their time together.
