Since the launch of the Funko Pop! vinyl product line, Funko has always worked hard to improve the world of Funko Pop! with new possibilities and trends.
There are many different types of Funko Pop! vinyl figures, with remarkable and unique effects and finishes, but with the introduction of a hard premium protective case in combination with a Funko Pop! vinyl figure, Funko has opened up many new possibilities.
The Funko Pop! Albums series is the first Funko Pop! series in which Funko uses the combination of a Funko Pop! vinyl figure, encased in a clear, oversized hard premium protective case designed to mimic works of art and keep the figure separated from the background.
Funko Pop! Albums are a combination of a Funko Pop! vinyl figure, pre-packaged in a hard premium protective case. The protective case is decorated with artwork from an iconic music album cover and the case features a Funko Pop! vinyl figure representing the likeness of the music album cover.
The protective case measures approximately: 8.75”W x 8.75”H x 3.75”D (W 21.8 cm x H 22.8 cm x D 8.4 cm). The Funko Pop! Albums can be easily hung on the wall.
The first releases in the Funko Pop! Albums series, announced in December 2020, includes iconic album covers from Notorious B.I.G. (Ready To Die), Black Sabbath (Black Sabbath), AC/DC (Back In Black) and Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory). These first releases formed the basis for a series that now includes dozens of iconic albums in various genres.
Funko also introduced collectors to Funko Pop! Albums Deluxe. The Funko Pop! Albums Deluxe line is an expansion of the Funko Pop! Albums series and features larger display pieces or cases with multiple Funko Pop! vinyl figures representing band members and album concepts.
Each release in the Funko Pop! Albums series is designed to honor legendary musicians and their groundbreaking albums, offering a unique way for Funko Pop! collectors and music fans to display their love for their favorite artists.
