Funko has announced a wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from Disney’s sports film The Mighty Ducks.

The Mighty Ducks (also known as D1: The Mighty Ducks and in the UK and Australia as Champions) is a 1992 American sports comedy-drama film, produced and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and the first film in The Mighty Ducks film series.
The film, directed by Stephen Herek and starring Emilio Estevez, is about a self-centered Minnesota lawyer, once a promising youth ice hockey player, who is sentenced to community service. As punishment, he has to coach a hopeless team of young ice hockey players.
The year after the film’s release, Disney founded a NHL ice hockey team, named the “Mighty Ducks of Anaheim” after the film.
The Mighty Ducks film series is part of the media franchise The Mighty Ducks, which includes a trilogy of live-action movies, an animated television series, a live-action sequel television series, and a real-life National Hockey League hockey team.
Characters from The Mighty Ducks film have been transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures and are part of the Pop! Disney series. The upcoming wave features five different Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including coach Bombay (Emilio Estevez).
