Machine Gun Kelly or MGK, stage name of Colson Baker, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. He is noted for his compositional blending of contemporary and alternative Hip Hop with rock.
Machine Gun Kelly released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010 before signing with Sean Combs’ Bad Boy Records, who discovered him at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.
He released his debut studio album Lace Up in 2012, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and featured his breakthrough single “Wild Boy” (featuring Waka Flocka Flame). Four more studio albums were released in the following years, and an upcoming sixth album, Mainstream Sellout, is scheduled for March 25, 2022.
In 2014, Machine Gun Kelly made his acting debut in the romantic drama Beyond the Lights and in 2019 he played drummer Tommy Lee in The Dirt, a biographical film about the rock group Mötley Crüe.
Machine Gun Kelly has now also made his debut in the world of Funko, where he has been transformed into a Funko Pop! vinyl figure as part of the Pop! Rocks series. After the previously released Funko Pop! Machine Gun Kelly (playing guitar) figure, Funko recently announced a second Pop! MGK figure.
