Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the comedy film Wet Hot American Summer.

Wet Hot American Summer is a 2001 American satirical comedy film directed by David Wain from a screenplay written by Wain and Michael Showalter.
The film features an ensemble cast including Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon, Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Showalter (and several other members of the sketch comedy troupe The State), Elizabeth Banks, Ken Marino, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper (in his film debut), Amy Poehler, Zak Orth and AD Miles.
The film depicts the last full day of a 1981 summer camp at Camp Firewood, located near Waterville, Maine, and focuses on the experiences of the camp counselors, most of whom are students around the age of 16.
The film was a critical and commercial failure, but has since developed a cult following and many of the cast members have gone on to high-profile work.
Netflix has revived the franchise with the release of two television miniseries starring most of the film’s original cast.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, an eight-episode prequel series, was released in July 2015, followed by an eight-episode sequel series in August 2017 titled Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
