Funko has announced a new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures from the teen comedy-drama film Pretty in Pink.
Pretty in Pink characters transformed into Funko Pop! figures.
Pretty in Pink is a beloved 1986 American teen romantic comedy-drama directed by Howard Deutch and written by John Hughes.
The film explores themes of class, friendship, and young love in suburban America, centering around Andie Walsh, a smart, independent high school senior from a working-class background. Played by Molly Ringwald, Andie navigates the social divide between her world and that of her wealthy classmates.
Andie works at a record store and spends time with her quirky best friend, Duckie Dale (Jon Cryer), who secretly harbors unrequited feelings for her. She catches the eye of Blane McDonough (Andrew McCarthy), a kind-hearted but affluent classmate.
Their budding romance, however, is met with resistance from both sides: Blane’s snobbish friends, led by the arrogant Steff (James Spader), and Andie’s insecurities about fitting into Blane’s privileged world.
The story culminates at the prom, where Andie faces a decision that tests her courage and self-worth. The film’s iconic ending, featuring Andie in her self-designed pink dress, emphasizes individuality and staying true to oneself.
Pretty in Pink is celebrated for its heartfelt performances, relatable characters, and a memorable soundtrack featuring hits like “If You Leave” by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). It remains a quintessential 1980s teen movie.
Characters from Pretty in Pink have been transformed into Funko Pop! figures and are part of the Funko Pop! Movies series.
