Funko has announced new wave of Funko Pop! vinyl figures as part of the Funko Pop! NBA Basketball Mascots series.

NBA mascots transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures.

Most National Basketball Association (NBA) teams have mascots directly related to the franchise’s name. However, a few teams don’t have a mascot at all, including one of the most historic franchises in sports.

Los Angeles Lakers is one of four teams in today’s NBA that doesn’t have a mascot, joining the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks. However, seeing as how the Nets and Warriors have each had mascots in the past, that leaves the Knicks as the only other team to never have one.

In 2021, Funko launched the Funko Pop! NBA Basketball Mascots series featuring Funko Pop! vinyl figures of NBA mascots. Squatch, the retired mascot of the Seattle SuperSonics, was the first Funko Pop! vinyl figure from the Pop! series and was released at ECCC 2021.

Six other NBA Basketball Mascots Funko Pop! vinyl figures followed in 2021, including Benny the Bull (Chicago Bulls), Hugo the Hornet (Charlotte Hornet), The Coyote (San Antonio Spurs) and The Raptor (Toronto Raptors).

Funko Pop! collectors and NBA fans can now look forward to five newly announced NBA Basketball Mascots Funko Pop! vinyl figures, including Champ the Horse (Dallas Mavericks), Burnie the Fireball (Miami Heat), Rocky the Mountain Lion (Denver Nuggets), Grizz the Bear (Memphis Grizzlies) and Stuff the Magic Dragon (Orlando Magic).
