Most National Basketball Association (NBA) teams have mascots who directly tie back to the name of the franchise.
A few teams, however, don’t have a mascot at all, including one of the most historic franchises in the sport.
Los Angeles Lakers is one of four teams in today’s NBA that doesn’t have a mascot, joining the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks. However, seeing as how the Nets and Warriors have each had mascots in the past, that leaves the Knicks as the only other team to never have one.
With the new Pop! NBA Basketball Mascots series, the popular NBA mascots are transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl figures. Squatch, the retired mascot of the Seattle SuperSonics, is the first vinyl figure of the Pop! series and was released during 2021 ECCC.
The Pop! NBA Basketball Mascots series has now been expanded with five new Pop! vinyl figures, including Benny The Bull from the Chicago Bulls, Hugo from the Charlotte Hornets and the Suns Go-Rilla from the Phoenix Suns.
