New Tupac Shakur (California Love) Funko Pop! vinyl figure.

Funko has announced a new Tupac Shakur (California Love) Funko Pop! vinyl figure as part of the Funko Pop! Rocks series.

Hip Hop legend Tupac (2Pac) transformed into Funko Pop! vinyl.

Tupac Amaru Shakur (born Lesane Parish Crooks, June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known as 2Pac and Makaveli, was an iconic American rapper, actor, and cultural figure whose influence on hip-hop and activism remains unparalleled.

Born on June 16, 1971, in Harlem, New York, Tupac grew up in a politically active family, with his mother, Afeni Shakur, being a member of the Black Panther Party.

His upbringing deeply influenced his music, which often addressed social injustice, systemic racism, and urban struggle, alongside themes of love, ambition, and resilience.

Tupac rose to prominence in the early 1990s with his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now (1991), which showcased his lyrical talent and socio-political awareness. He became one of Hip Hop’s most successful and controversial figures, releasing multi-platinum albums such as Me Against the World (1995) and All Eyez on Me (1996).

Tracks like “Dear Mama,” “Changes,” and “California Love” highlighted his versatility as an artist, balancing introspective storytelling with mainstream appeal.

Tupac also had a budding acting career, appearing in films like Juice (1992), Poetic Justice (1993), and Above the Rim (1994), which showcased his charisma and range beyond music.

His life was marred by legal troubles, feuds, and his involvement in the East Coast-West Coast rivalry. Tragically, Tupac was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996, and died six days later at the age of 25. His murder remains unsolved, though it continues to be a subject of intense speculation.

Tupac is one of the best selling music artists and has sold more than 75 million records worldwide. In 2002, he was inducted into the Hip Hop Hall of Fame, and in 2017, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in his first year of eligibility.

Tupac’s legacy endures as one of the greatest and most influential artists in Hip Hop history, celebrated for his poetic lyricism, cultural impact, and ability to connect with diverse audiences. He remains a symbol of resistance, creativity, and complexity in modern music and culture.

Funko honors the Hip Hop legend with a new Funko Pop! makeover and with the release of a new Tupac Shakur Funko Pop! vinyl figure.

The newly announced Tupac Shakur Funko Pop! vinyl figure is part of the Funko Pop! Rocks series and is inspired by the 1995 music video of California Love.
